New Places
New Places
Recently, we re-located to Charlotte North Carolina, and It has been quite an adventure for us thus far. So much has happened in such a short space of time that we are hardly able to keep up with it. We have had good times, and sad times, however, I find that we can take away much learning, from every experience we live. The human spirit is quite resilient, and so, we are able to cope in difficult times, especially for those of us who have placed our faith and trust in the Lord.
Charlotte is a very beautiful place, and it is a growing and progressive city. Here you are culturally refreshed, as there is always something going on just about every weekend that comes. Here you can find many historical places that one have read of in the history books at school, causing the past to come alive as you experience the way of life of times gone by. There are also many of natures so breathtakingly beautiful natural scenarios, filling the majestic landscape. So much to see, and experience; just too much to tell in such a small space of time.
But even as I joyfully recall the wonderful beauties of nature in beatiful
Charlotte, I also remember the times of sadness that we have experience in such a short period of time. Earlier on this year, my daughter went through a period where it seemed as if we were living under Murphy's Law. All the bad things that you could imagine just started happening one after the other: My daughter was in a car accident, and the car was totaled. That led up to her loosing her job, we realized that we could not renegotiate the lease for the apartment that we lived in, so we had to move; and if all that was not enough, her lovely and faithful companion who she had raised from a puppy of two months old, died suddenly from a rare illness at 6 years old.

Nevertheless, after a period of not really knowing what to do or where to turn, after getting to the point of hopelessness and despair, I found that it is really true that there is always someone who is having it worst than you.
After having to spend just about all of our life savings trying to find affordable places to live, and having to go from one motel to another just to keep a roof over our heads; we decided to really put God to the test. We found that his ways are not our ways, but that only He can cause the bad to work for good to those that trust in Him. Therefore, we resolved to look to Him from whence commeth all our help.
While we are still looking for a place to live, we do not fall apart in despair, we take one day at a time, and we make the best of that day. family has come to our aid, and we have not had to turn to the government for assistance, as this is not the way for us. We continue to make it from one day to the next, and we rejoice in knowing that the best is yet to come. We realize that the problem was not with Charlotte, or going to new places, but that life is filled with ups and downs. The rain falls, and the sun shines upon the just, and the unjust alike; while weeping only endures but for a night, joy does come in the morning. We know and are fully convinced that this too will pass.
